WHAT I SPECIALIZE IN
Specialized translation across medicine,
technology, media, fashion and sport.
Medical Translation
The medical field leaves no room for ambiguity. A poorly translated informed consent form, an inconsistent SmPC, or a mistranslated patient questionnaire can have real consequences for patients, for research, and for the organizations behind them.
That is why I make sure my work is up to standard. Holding a Diploma in Medical Translation and having undergone specialized training in linguistic validation, I deliver Spanish translations for pharmaceuticals, CROs, medical device makers and other healthcare companies. The goal is always to be terminologically exact and register-appropriate. In a field where the wrong word can mean something very different, that is not negotiable.
What I can help you with:
- Clinical trial protocols and amendments
- Informed consent forms
- Medical records and discharge notes
- Scientific papers and case studies
- Medical software and health tech content
- Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPCs)
- Patient information leaflets (PILs)
- Brochures and educational materials
- COA translation and linguistic validation
- Patient questionnaires and rating scales
Software and App Localization
My time working in the localization industry has taught me that the best work is usually invisible. I look at software and mobile apps through a technical lens, focusing on how language interacts with the build. I adjust the copy to fit the interface and smooth out the navigation, making sure the result sounds like it was written in Spanish from the start.
I also collaborate with development teams to ensure technical elements like currency and measurement systems are properly localized, while flagging any cultural nuances that might confuse a local user. My goal is to make every project feel like it was designed exclusively for the Spanish market.
What I can help you with:
- User interface strings and in-app content
- Website localization
- Help center articles and FAQs
- Terminology management and linguistic guidelines
- Mobile application localization (iOS & Android)
- Technical documentation and manuals
- Software QA and functional testing support
I’m fluent in the most widely used translation and localization tools in the industry and always happy to adapt to the platforms and workflows my clients already use. If you have a specific TMS, CAT tool, or file format in mind, let’s talk — I’m always open to learning new tools.
Subtitling
A medical webinar, a training course, a brand campaign. The content inside them only does its job if the audience can follow it. And if the subject matter gets technical or scientific, the person writing the subtitles needs to actually understand what is being said on screen, not just put it into words.
Having an MA in Audiovisual Translation and Localization alongside a Diploma in Medical Translation is a fairly unusual combination. It means I can comfortably work with complex medical and scientific terminology while also creating subtitles that feel natural, readable, and properly timed. If you’re looking for someone who can handle both the technical accuracy and the viewing experience, I’d be happy to talk.
Audiovisual formats I work with:
- Medical and scientific conference subtitles
- Medical e-learning and training videos
- Corporate and institutional video content
- Healthcare and pharmaceutical webinars
- Instructional and product demonstration videos
- Subtitle revision and quality check
E-commerce and marketing
Your product might be excellent, but if your Spanish copy doesn’t resonate with your audience, you’re likely missing opportunities to convert visitors into customers. Effective marketing translation is about more than accuracy. Your message needs to sound natural, persuasive, and consistent with your brand, while having the same impact on Spanish‑speaking audiences as it does in English.
Having spent most of my career working for one of the world’s leading consumer brands, I’ve seen firsthand what goes into creating effective marketing content across different markets. Whether you’re launching a product, expanding into Spanish‑speaking markets, or refining your brand messaging, I can help you communicate clearly and effectively in Spanish.
Types of texts I work with:
- Product descriptions and catalogue copy
- Campaign and advertising copy
- Email marketing and newsletters
- Brand guidelines and tone of voice documents
- Press releases
- SEO content and blog articles
- E-commerce website content
- Social media copy and captions
- Landing pages and calls to action
- Slogans and taglines
- Corporate communications and brand storytelling
Fashion
Fashion translation is about more than getting the terminology right. Your Spanish‑speaking customers should be able to browse, compare and buy with the same confidence as they would in your home market. That often means adapting sizing systems, units of measurement, and market-specific references, as well as using the keywords your customers actually search for.
With a background in marketing and copywriting on top of translation, I make sure your Spanish content feels natural, reflects your brand voice, and speaks to the audience you’re trying to reach.
Types of texts I can translate:
- Product titles and descriptions
- Campaign and advertising copy
- Newsletters and email marketing
- Press releases and brand storytelling
- SEO content and metadata
- Shipping, returns and payment terms
- Category and collection pages
- Social media content
- Website copy and landing pages
- Lookbooks and editorial content
- Sizing guides and product specifications
Sport
Eight years working in-house for one of the world’s biggest sportswear brands taught me what it takes to make sports content work in a new market. I understand how major sports brands communicate, how they position themselves, and the standards they expect their content to meet.
I also know that a direct translation is rarely enough. Sport has its own local codes, its own slang, and its own rituals in every market, and Spanish‑speaking audiences are no different. My background combines translation, marketing, and copywriting — meaning I can help sports brands, federations, and media outlets speak to their Spanish‑speaking audiences with the same energy, credibility, and authenticity they bring to every other market.
Types of texts I can translate:
- Product descriptions and technical specifications
- Sports event programmes and race guides
- Fan-facing content and community communications
- App and UX content
- Academy and youth programme materials
- Athlete profiles and interviews
- Campaign and advertising copy
- Coaching and training materials
- Merchandise and retail copy
- Press releases and media communications
