The medical field leaves no room for ambiguity. A poorly translated informed consent form, an inconsistent SmPC, or a mistranslated patient questionnaire can have real consequences for patients, for research, and for the organizations behind them.

That is why I make sure my work is up to standard. Holding a Diploma in Medical Translation and having undergone specialized training in linguistic validation, I deliver Spanish translations for pharmaceuticals, CROs, medical device makers and other healthcare companies. The goal is always to be terminologically exact and register-appropriate. In a field where the wrong word can mean something very different, that is not negotiable.

My time working in the localization industry has taught me that the best work is usually invisible. I look at software and mobile apps through a technical lens, focusing on how language interacts with the build. I adjust the copy to fit the interface and smooth out the navigation, making sure the result sounds like it was written in Spanish from the start.

I also collaborate with development teams to ensure technical elements like currency and measurement systems are properly localized, while flagging any cultural nuances that might confuse a local user. My goal is to make every project feel like it was designed exclusively for the Spanish market.

A medical webinar, a training course, a brand campaign. The content inside them only does its job if the audience can follow it. And if the subject matter gets technical or scientific, the person writing the subtitles needs to actually understand what is being said on screen, not just put it into words.

Having an MA in Audiovisual Translation and Localization alongside a Diploma in Medical Translation is a fairly unusual combination. It means I can comfortably work with complex medical and scientific terminology while also creating subtitles that feel natural, readable, and properly timed.
